01About Lavendr
Lavendr is an iOS application that helps you build a focus practice and reduce time spent on distracting apps through Lavendr's structured focus methodology. Lavendr's premium features include the Lavendr focus workflow, earned-time rules, progress views, customization, and ongoing product improvements.
To deliver these features, Lavendr uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity APIs to apply restrictions you choose. Lavendr does not sell, license, or charge separately for Apple's Screen Time, Family Controls, Managed Settings, Device Activity, notifications, or other Apple system capabilities. Those system capabilities are provided by Apple and remain subject to Apple's permissions, settings, operating system behavior, and availability.
Lavendr is currently available on iOS only.
02Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Lavendr. If you are under 18, you may only use the app with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these terms on your behalf.
You may not use Lavendr if you are barred from doing so under the laws of your jurisdiction or under Apple's App Store policies.
03Subscription & pricing
3.1 Subscription tiers
Lavendr offers two auto-renewable subscriptions:
- Lavendr Pro Yearly: billed annually, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers
- Lavendr Pro Weekly: billed weekly
Current pricing for your region is displayed in the app before you complete your purchase. Pricing varies by region according to Apple's standard pricing tiers and the currency of your App Store account. We may update pricing from time to time; any change to the price of an active subscription will be communicated to you in advance through the app or by Apple before the new price takes effect on your next renewal.
3.2 Free trial
Lavendr Pro Yearly may be offered with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Eligibility and the exact trial length are shown in the app before you start the trial.
The trial converts to a paid subscription at the regular price shown before purchase unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can view and manage your subscription, including cancellation, in your device's subscription settings at any time.
3.3 Auto-renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (weekly or yearly, depending on your tier) at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. Apple will automatically charge the payment method associated with your Apple ID.
3.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your Lavendr Pro subscription at any time through your iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or via Apple's Manage Subscriptions page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to Lavendr Pro until then. Deleting the app from your device does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel it through your subscription settings to stop future billing.
We do not have direct control over your subscription billing. Apple manages all subscription billing for iOS App Store purchases.
3.5 Refunds
All refunds for App Store purchases are handled directly by Apple. To request a refund, please visit reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple's standard refund process. Domino Effect Labs LLC cannot process refunds for App Store subscriptions on Apple's behalf.
3.6 Restore purchases
If you previously purchased Lavendr Pro through the App Store, you may restore access at any time using the Restore Purchases option within the app. Restoring purchases requires that you sign in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
04iOS Family Controls and Screen Time access
When you select apps, websites, or categories to block in Lavendr, Apple's Family Controls system provides Lavendr with opaque selection tokens that can be used locally on your device to apply restrictions. Lavendr does not receive the names, bundle identifiers, icons, contents, or raw usage history of the apps or websites those tokens represent. Lavendr stores and uses those tokens locally to provide the blocking features you request.
By using Lavendr's blocking features:
- You grant Lavendr permission to apply blocking restrictions on your device using Apple's official iOS APIs.
- All blocking restrictions are applied locally. Lavendr does not transmit your selected apps, your usage data, or your focus session activity to our servers.
- All Family Controls data is encrypted by Apple and remains on your device. Apple itself does not share the actual app identities with Lavendr.
You may revoke Lavendr's Family Controls access at any time through iOS Settings → Screen Time, or by uninstalling the app.
05Acceptable use
By using Lavendr, you agree to the following:
- You will not attempt to circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with Lavendr's blocking mechanisms, including via jailbreaking, modified iOS versions, third-party tools, or any other technical means.
- You will not use Lavendr for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates Apple's terms of service.
- You will not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
- You will not use Lavendr to harass, harm, or violate the rights of others.
- You acknowledge that Lavendr's effectiveness depends on Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls APIs functioning correctly. We make no guarantee that all blocking will work perfectly in every iOS version or under all conditions.
If you violate these acceptable use rules, we may suspend or terminate your access to the app.
5.1 Responsible configuration
You are responsible for choosing which apps and websites to block and when restrictions apply. Do not use Lavendr to block apps, websites, services, notifications, or communications that you may need for emergencies, health, safety, legal obligations, employment, school, caregiving, or time-sensitive matters.
You can revoke Lavendr's Screen Time and Family Controls authorization at any time through iOS Settings, or uninstall the app, subject to Apple's system behavior.
5.2 Not medical or mental health advice
Lavendr is a digital wellness and productivity tool. It is not medical advice, mental health advice, therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for professional care. If you believe your device use is causing significant distress or impairment, please consider contacting a qualified healthcare professional.
06Earned screen time
Lavendr's core mechanic awards earned screen time to your blocked apps after you complete focus tasks. The amount of screen time you earn per task is calculated based on the duration of your focus session at a ratio of 1 minute earned per 3 minutes focused.
Earned screen time:
- Is a feature of the app, not a transferable currency or asset.
- Cannot be transferred between accounts or devices.
- Has no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or refunds.
- May be modified, paused, or expired at our discretion in future app versions (we will provide reasonable notice of significant changes).
07Intellectual property
All content, design, illustrations, animations, sounds, text, and code associated with Lavendr are the property of Domino Effect Labs LLC or our licensors and are protected by US and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial use only.
The names "Lavendr" and "Lavendr Pro," along with associated logos and brand elements, are trademarks of Domino Effect Labs LLC.
08Third-party services
Lavendr integrates with the following third-party services:
- Apple, for App Store distribution, subscription billing, Family Controls and Screen Time APIs, and platform services.
- RevenueCat, for subscription management and analytics.
These third parties have their own terms and privacy policies. By using Lavendr, you acknowledge that data processed by these services is governed by their respective terms.
09Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. By using Lavendr, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
10Disclaimers
Lavendr is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Domino Effect Labs LLC disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- Lavendr will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
- The app's blocking will be 100% effective in all situations.
- The app will prevent you from accessing distracting apps in all circumstances.
- Insights, statistics, or focus tracking will be perfectly accurate.
You acknowledge that Lavendr is a tool intended to support your focus and digital wellness, not a guarantee of behavioral change.
11Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Domino Effect Labs LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Any inability to access blocked apps due to Lavendr's blocking functionality.
- Any consequences resulting from blocked apps being unavailable when you may have needed them, including missed notifications, missed messages, or other time-sensitive communications.
- Any reliance on Lavendr's focus tracking, insights, or screen time calculations.
- Any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities.
- Any third-party service failures or outages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to Lavendr shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Domino Effect Labs LLC and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these terms.
- Your violation of any rights of another party.
- Your use or misuse of the app.
13Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Lavendr at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these terms.
You may terminate your use of Lavendr at any time by canceling your subscription and uninstalling the app.
Upon termination, your right to use the app ends immediately. The following provisions survive termination: Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law.
14Changes to these terms
We may modify these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
- Notify you through the app or by other reasonable means if the change is material.
Your continued use of Lavendr after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.
15Apple App Store terms
These terms are between you and Domino Effect Labs LLC, not Apple Inc. Domino Effect Labs LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for Lavendr and its content.
Scope of license
Your license to use Lavendr is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including Family Sharing or volume purchasing where applicable.
Maintenance and support
Domino Effect Labs LLC is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for Lavendr as described in these terms or as required by applicable law. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Lavendr.
Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lavendr is provided without warranties. If Lavendr fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to Lavendr.
Product claims
Domino Effect Labs LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Lavendr or your use of Lavendr, including product liability claims, claims that Lavendr fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar laws.
Intellectual property claims
Domino Effect Labs LLC, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim relating to Lavendr or your use of Lavendr.
Legal compliance
You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country or region subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a terrorist-supporting country or region, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Third-party terms
You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Lavendr, including Apple's terms and any terms applicable to services used with the app.
Third-party beneficiaries
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce these terms against you.
Your use of Lavendr must also comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
16Governing law and disputes
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Lavendr shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for matters relating to intellectual property.
You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Domino Effect Labs LLC.
